David Kambach is a member of Bain's Automotive practice.
He started his career with Bain & Company in Germany after graduating from university. In 2021, he relocated to the Seoul office. Since joining Bain & Company, David has primarily focused on the Advanced Manufacturing & Services industry, with a specific emphasis on Automotive-related topics.
As a key member of Bain’s global automotive practice, he has experience on a broad range of strategic topics for OEMs and suppliers. These include up- and downstream strategies for electric vehicles, autonomous driving strategies, country entry strategies, customer segmentations as well as value creation programs.
Additionally, he supports private equity investors with commercial due diligences, mostly on Automotive, but also broader industry topics.
He is deeply experienced in managing cross-border teams, projects and transactions. His client base covers Europe with project experience in Germany, Italy and Sweden, as well as Korea, India and SEA in the APAC region.
David holds a bachelor's degree from EBS University in Germany, and he pursued a master's program in International Studies at Yonsei University in Korea. He concluded his master's program as the valedictorian of his class.
He lives in Seoul with his wife and son.
