Zach Cole

Zach Cole is a member of our Energy & Natural Resources practice.

He has 10 years of experience in the energy and natural resources industry, primarily working with leading renewables, utility, oil and gas, and mining clients in Europe, Asia Pacific, Africa and North America.

Zach advises energy clients and investors on key strategic energy transition topics with a focus on renewables development in clean hydrogen/power-to-X and offshore wind. Zach's case portfolio includes due diligences for both corporate and private equity funds on energy transition opportunities.

Some examples of his recent casework include working on several customer excellence assignments to support hydrogen and offshore wind developers secure offtake for projects. He was also involved in the development of a sustainability strategy for a leading European renewable energy major and due diligence for a private equity fund in the power market services space.

In addition to his client work, Zach has also gained experience as a senior strategy advisor to a major European renewable energy utility.

Zach leads Bain's wellbeing and development program in the Oslo office. In his personal time, Zach is a passionate outdoorsman that enjoys running, biking, hiking and skiing. He is also a proud parent of two small girls.

He holds a double degree in law and economics with first class honours from the University of Western Australia.
