Girish Nair is a leader in the firm’s Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) and Retail practices.
Girish has more than 25 years of strategic, operational and management experience in both consulting and the technology industry. He holds deep expertise in topics related to digital transformation, online channels, consumer value proposition, commercial sales and marketing, organization model and alignment, as well as strategy and corporate development.
Prior to joining Bain, Girish served as General Manager of Digital Stores at Microsoft Corporation, leading their e-commerce digital store for consumers and small businesses. This spanned devices, software and services sales in all worldwide markets. Previously, he was also Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Alliances at Hewlett-Packard, where he drove change management and corporate-wide restructuring programs across HP and its business units.
In addition, he was a senior partner with another global consulting firm, where he was a core leader of the Global Tech, Media and Telecom practice and the North America Technology Sales and Marketing practice. He also served as the leader of that firm's Seattle office.
Girish earned an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business, a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from Tufts University and a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay.
